Theoretical Approach: I am dual trained as a Counselling Psychologist and Integrative Psychotherapist. My approach to therapy focuses on resolving the root cause of presenting problems. Attachment-informed EMDR and DBR are my primary therapy approaches for a variety of presenting problems because I find them to be quickest and most effective in reducing distressing symptoms and restoring a state of wellness. I integrate faith-based therapy (if requested) and IFS therapy into EMDR.
I am trained and experienced in various modalities, including: Integrative, EMDR, Attachment-Informed/Focused EMDR, IFS, DBR Therapy, Systemic, Psychodynamic, Islamic Counselling, Culturally-Adapted Therapy, Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET), Humanistic, Community Psychology, Emotionally Focused Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).
